Kentucky White Grass

The Twins hosted a Target Field Open House this weekend so Jeff, Micah, my dad and I went downtown and meandered around for a few hours Sunday afternoon. We looked around, sat in various seats, heard stories from ushers and other Twins fans, and had the thrilling opportunity to relive the final innings of game 163 on the jumbo..., neigh, the megaginormous...tron.It was a fantastic tease in preparation for the real thing in just a few short days!

Daddy's Talent

Brianna just loves her dad! She knows when he is around because she will give him big grins. On Monday, just before bath time, I was getting everything ready in the bathroom, while Jon got Brianna undressed and ready for her bath in her bedroom. A few minutes go by and I'm starting to wonder where they are... He is still talking with her because she keeps smiling and cooing for him - never mind me waiting in the bathtub! THEN... last night, again getting ready for a bath, Jon was getting Brianna ready and she laughed - Yes Laughed. This would be her first full-out laugh. Sadly, no videos were able to be recorded, but it was awesome. What ever he was doing she liked so much to laugh for him. It was one of the sweetest sounds. Thanks Jon for being so wonderful and great with Brianna!

Brianna on... Economizing

It's been fun having a cousin so close in age - we've been spending a lot of time together. Thankfully our parents don't mind, since we don't spend much money. Take today for instance. We got all ready and headed to the Mall of America (free) to walk around getting in almost 8,500 steps. It's great exercise. Then we cruised by the best buy rotunda where they had an Irish dance team doing a jig (free). Very sparkly.

Next, we thought we better eat soon so we stopped by Chipotle for a quick bite. Since mom had a coupon for free chips and guac and it was Toddler Tuesday where kids eat free at certain locations, the 5 of us ate for under $7.00 (I know that's not free, but it's important to maximize opportunities... and sure I might be stretching with counting Lucius and I but it's a better story).
So after we were well fed and changed, we thought it was time to take a nap. And since Lucius and I are so close and already huge on sharing, I thought I should offer to share my stroller. Who needs a double Bob??

We got quite a few looks, but we were comfy-cosie. All in all, it was a perfect plan for a rainy Tuesday morning. You've got to get creative and make every penny count.

Learning to share

Late last week Brianna and I went over to Aunt Meg's house to visit. Lucius was kind enough to let Brianna try his jumper (similar to a johnny jump up). She really liked it since she is into straightening her legs and standing. Lucius, as you can see, was watching the entire time for quality control and to make sure it didn't leave the house. Thanks for a fun morning/afternoon.

Simple Video

Brianna is one to have frequent hiccups. This video was actually trying to capture the huge smiles she was giving me a week ago, but by the time I got the camera she was done... so I got snorts and hiccups. Enjoy!

Laughing Inside

It's so much fun - hanging out with this little girl and watching her grow! I couldn't ask for a better eater and sleeper. Now the big question is... what color eyes is she going to have?

Rocky's Ready

My Mom got Brianna this hoodie. The first thing Jon said was it was her Rocky outfit - minus the ruffles and pink liner. I couldn't help but capture her game face!

Daddy Time

Last Sunday, Jon was holding Brianna and since he is usually the one behind the camera taking pictures, I thought I better return the favor. He is such a great dad!
