We know Spring is on its way (even though it's snowing right now), so we wanted to make sure we got out this past weekend to enjoy what is left of winter. Saturday we packed up our gear and headed once again to Afton State Park. It has been so fun because every time we go there we have a new route that we travel! There is so much to explore, and it helps they have plenty of snow still that we can snowshoe around anywhere we would like. Eko loves the activity too and freedom to explore. This trip, we hiked 3.5 miles, our longest yet - which took us about 2 hours. Brianna also loved taking in the scenery, even behind closed eyelids. I don't know what it is about that backpack, but she barely makes a peep and will fall asleep no problem.
This shelter was about our halfway point. We stopped for a little breather and to relax the back and shoulders from carrying Brianna. She enjoyed the chance to move after being confined for a while. It was a beautiful afternoon with the blue skies and sunshine. We were pretty tired, but it was well worth it!
